Vineyard in the Community

When Abingdon Vineyard Church was first planted we had the word that it would be ‘a church without walls’. This has been lived out with our outreach to the community but a now takes on a new interpretation as we live out as a community under the Covid-19 restrictions.

Baby & Toddler Group

Our Baby & Toddler Group has been long established in South Abingdon.  The group meets each Friday morning from 9:30am to 11:00am during school term time at Preston Road Community Centre, where our church meets each Sunday.

As well as a large space with lots of things to keep the little ones happy we offer refreshments and space for parents/carers to chat over coffee etc.

The group is open to anyone with babies and toddlers to attend and is entirely free including refreshments.  Come along and see for yourself.

South Abingdon Youth Club
Currently being rebuilt after lockdowns

Our Youth Club has been meeting for around 14 years each Friday evening between 7pm and 8:30pm during term times.

The club was started with support from the local PCSO's to provide a space where young people could come and enjoy typical youth club activities in a safe environment and to help develop good relationships across the community.

The club is free to attend for young people between the ages of 10 years and 15 years.  We offer a 'tuck shop' with drinks and snacks at low cost for our members.

What's Up is a popular group that runs before the general youth club that provides and opportunity for young people to explore the Christian faith.

Storehouse

Storehouse provides basic household items to people in our community who are in need and are referred to us by social services and other support agencies.
We have provided bedding, other linen, kitchen utensiles, crockery etc.  We are not able to offer furniture or other large items.

We also support the Abingdon Foodbank and operate the South Centre at the community centre where the church meets.

CAP Money Course

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a well established charity that has helped people to get debt free and in control of their money.

The CAP Money course is an excellent way to learn about managing your money no matter how much or how little you have.

For those who are struggling with debt through loans, storecards, credit cards etc, attending a CAP Money Course gives access to CAP Money Plus where you will be helped by the CAP Team to work towards getting debt free in a reasonable time whilst maintaining a decent standard of living.

Please use our contact form on our Home page to check when a course will run.
